Rich Wagner

Assistant Strength Coach

Rich's favorite thing about Hardpressed is being able to coach clients at such a high level and push them to their max, while seeing them progress session by session.

He especially enjoys training clients who are new to fitness or who have been away from the gym for years, because he likes watching the passion surface as they improve and reach their goals. Additionally, Rich specializes in working with and/or around injuries.

Rich Outside the Weightroom

When Rich is not busy training at Hardpressed, he loves being outside in the sun, especially playing golf!

Did you know? Rich is one of the few HP trainers who listens to country music. He's seen Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Lee Brice, Dierks Bently, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert and Kane Brown in concert. His favorite country artist is Eric Church!

He loves to lift weights and you can regularly see him on the squat press machine working on those legs, but as far as cardio goes, Rich's exercises of choice would be cycling and lunges. He has actually lunged one full mile before!  Ouch!

Rich was born and raised in Chicago, IL and is a White Sox fan.

Client Testimonials

"All of the trainers at HP that I’ve worked with are fantastic, but Rich stands head and shoulders above the rest (and not just because he’s taller than almost all of them!). Rich has a gentle and kind but firm way of pushing me to give every workout 110%. I owe my increased strength, self confidence and the need to buy an almost completely new wardrobe to his expert training skills.”

"Rich is supportive and enthusiastic. It's been great to see him grow as a trainer over the past year and a half. He always checks in to see how I'm feeling that day and is great about keeping my form in check. Hands down my best moment with Rich was seeing his Ricky Bobby impression (Talladega Nights).
